Eligibility

The Promoter is Edward Dillon Co Limited trading at Eastpoint Business Park, Alfie Byrne Rd, East Wall, Dublin 3.
You must be over 18 years of age and reside in the Republic of Ireland to enter the HENNESSY WIN A TRIP TO COGNAC, FRANCE competition (“The Promotion”). By entering the Promotion, you will be deemed to have read and agreed to these terms and conditions of the Promotion.
Employees and/or relatives of employees of the Promoter, it's associated companies and any agents connected to the Promotion are not eligible to enter the Promotion and/or win any prizes.
The Promotion is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
Employees of Edward Dillon Co Limited Entities, including affiliates, agents and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of such employees, are not eligible to enter or win the promotion.

Promotional Period

The Promotion will take place exclusively in selected Supervalu stores.
The Promotion is running from 26th July – 6th September 2024 in the Republic of Ireland.

How to Enter

Consumer entry will occur via QR code in Supervalu stores which allows them to enter the competition through the Hennessy Ireland microsite.
The Prize will be a trip for two people to visit Cognac, France with flights, accommodation and a Hennessy production tour included. The trip must be redeemed before the end of 2025.
Only one entry per person is permitted. Any additional entries will be void.
Winners will be selected at random from valid entries.

Publicity

The winning entrants may be required for publicity purposes. Entrants agree by entering the Promotion to participate in such publicity including, but not limited to, the publication of their names and photographs for advertising and/or promotional purposes. Should a winner be unable or unwilling to take part in any such publicity, the Promoter may at its discretion choose a replacement winner without future reference or obligation to the original winner.Participants in this promotion (if minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that Edward Dillon Co Limited and their designees and assigns may use the participant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification.

Personal Data

The personal data provided by you in the context of this Promotion will be processed by the Promoter in accordance with our privacy policy available on https://press.hennessy.com/privacy-policy-hennessy/.The details you provide to the Promoter will be stored by the Promoter in order to allow for the appointment of winners of the prizes and to execute the prizes, and may be disclosed to third parties for the purpose of administering the competition or delivering the prizes. You can request the Promotor at any time to provide access to the personal data it has collected about you. You can request the Promoter at any time to correct or to delete such personal data. You can send requests for access, correction or removal for your personal data to salesoffice@edwarddillonco.ie mentioning your name and email address.

General

  1. The prize will be issued subject to proof of valid identification and age verification.
  2. No cash alternative is available; prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  3. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize of equal or similar value.
  4. In the event of an epidemic, pandemic or otherwise or directions imposed by local Government or Governments outside of the Jurisdiction and the prize becomes unavailable or untenable the Promoter reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize of equal or similar value.
  5. In the event that the Winner is ineligible for the Hennessy Win a trip to Cognac, France, competition for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the winner for an alternative winner at no cost or liability to the Promoter.
  6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received or for undelivered or delayed messages which were unable to be sent or received due to technical failure or any other reason beyond its control. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider, internet, accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or unauthorised human act.
  7. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for the winner’s health insurance while the winner is abroad for the purposes of the prize. The Winner shall hold harmless the Promoter for all liabilities, damage, loss, claim or expense whatsoever for failing to hold adequate health insurance covering them for the duration of the prize.
  8. Edward Dillon Co Limited and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, representatives, and agents shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to winner or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize and/or participation in this promotion.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize if there is any suspicion of fraud or in the event that winner notification has been incorrectly (e.g., by reason of technical fault, computer and/or printing error) printed and/or generated and/or sent to the winner on the Promoter’s behalf.
  10. No warranty or guarantee is given by the Promoter in relation to any of the prizes and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, associated companies, and trading partners will not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, additional expenses, injury or death howsoever caused, whether in contract, tort (including without limitation, negligence, fraud or malicious act), statutory or otherwise arising out of the Promotion or receipt or use of any prize awarded pursuant to the Promotion and the Promoter does not recommend or guarantee the performance of any contractor or the obligations of any third parties associated with any prize (including without limitation the promoter of any prize) and will not be liable for any fraud committed by any third party.
  11. All prize winners will be contacted by phone or email address provided on entry. If the winner selected is not available for any reason when contacted in relation to the prize, the Promoter shall select an alternative winner. Upon notification of winning, prize winners will be given the details of their prize.
  12. During the Promotion, any request or complaint concerning the Promotion and Terms and Conditions may be sent via e-mail to the salesoffice@edwarddillonco.ie stating your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to vary, cancel or modify the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions at any time and for whatever reason and/or amend or withdraw the Promotion (and/or any related Prizes) in whole or in part at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. The Promoter is also entitled to vary the prizes if, due to unforeseen circumstances it becomes impossible to provide the prizes as described or in its opinion, it would be inappropriate in anyway. In that event, prizes of equal or similar value will be offered.
  14. The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
